“Stasinakis Athanasios”

Athanasios Stasinakis is Associate Professor at the Department of Environment, University of the Aegean (Greece). He has significant research experience in the field of wastewater engineering, as well as in environmental analytical chemistry and ecotoxicity of micropollutants. His research interests include wastewater and sludge treatment, as well as the occurrence and fate of synthetic organic chemicals and heavy metals species during wastewater treatment. Dr Stasinakis was the coordinator of WATERMICROPOL project (http://www2.env.aegean.gr/WaterMicropol/) which co‐financed by the European Union and Greek national funds and investigated the fate of emerging contaminants during wastewater treatment and disposal.
