Prof. Dr. Mufeed Batarseh obtained his PhD in the field of environmental and sustainable chemistry and waste analysis in 2003 from Institute of Environmental and Sustainable Chemistry at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany. His Master degree in Environmental Sciences and Management from University of Jordan and a double major bachelor degree in chemistry and computer science from Yarmouk University in Jordan.<\/p>\n

Dr. Batarseh is a Senior Faculty and Head of Academic Support Department (ASD) at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic since 2013. He contributed to the establishment of the Academic Support Department and development of the educational curriculum for the general requirements (GRs) courses at ADPOLY.<\/p>\n

Since 2010 till 2013, Prof. Batarseh was assigned as a director of Prince Faisal Center for Dead Sea Environmental and Energy Research and associate professor of environmental chemistry at the department of chemistry\/Mutah University, Jordan. He has been conducting and leading advanced interdisciplinary funded research focused on environmental chemical pollution and sustainable water management. Dr. Batarseh published more than thirty manuscripts in international peer reviewed Journals and several chapters in books.<\/p>\n

Dr. Batarseh has conducted several training courses related to application of instrumental analyses in environmental studies and became a certified ISO17025 lab assessor and auditor. In addition, he has been teaching different general, environmental and analytical chemistry courses for undergraduate and graduate students as well as supervision of master and PhD students in interdisciplinary fields. Dr. Batarseh is a topical editor for CLEAN Air water and Soil since 2009 which published by Wiley and he a member of several national and international scientific associations. Prof Batarseh has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and books.<\/p>\n
