He has extensive research and industrial experience in water and waste water treatment using pilot- and industrial-scale bioreactors. His research interests include biological potable water and agro-industrial wastewater treatment, composting of agro-industrial residues, constructed wetlands, biodiesel production using oleaginous microorganisms, use of microalgae and cyanobacteria for lipid accumulation and wastewater purification, and modeling.<\/p>\n<p>He has also significant experience in innovation and entrepreneurship. He has coordinated several large-scale national and international collaboration projects.
