RESEARCH FIELDS IN ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY
- Development of modern extraction techniques coupled to mass spectrometry for determination of organic micropollutants in environmental and food samples,
- Occurrence, transport, fate and effects of micropollutants (pesticides, pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs), phenols, PCBs, PAHs, endocrine disrupting compounds etc..) in the environment,
- Identification and structure elucidation of organic contaminants by advanced mass spectrometric techniques (GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, LC-ToF/MS, LC-QToF, Orbitrap, etc),
- Development of effective degradation and purification processes for the mineralization of organic micropollutants (Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs), especially in photocatalysis, destruction with artificial and solar light
- Development of nanostructured materials;
- Environmental toxicology and risk assessment management,
- Management of hazardous wastes,
- DevelopmentofGeographicInformationSystems(GIS)inenvironmentalstudies,
- Quality Control/Quality assurance, Quality management systems, Environmental management systems (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
